Gehl Introduces 5 All-New TH Construction Telehandlers

Star Equipment, Ltd. - GEHL is excited to launch an all new line of Construction Telehandlers built for North America: TH6-42, TH8-42, TH10-55, TH12-42 and the TH12-55. These new models replace the larger RS and DL series units. This new series of telehandlers offer increased capacity at forward outreach, improved operator experience, more visibility, lower TCO, and many more new features!

Manufactured in Yankton South Dakota, the new TH telehandlers are designed to meet the needs of the construction and rental markets in North America. This range offers maximum lifting heights from 42 to 55 feet with lifting capacities of 6,000 to 12,000 lbs. 

The TH Telescopic Handlers have been completely redesigned with a new cab, an intuitive dashboard display and enhanced single all-in-one joystick that adjusts with the seat/armrest. The new design offers improved "superview" visibility, enhanced comfort, increased lifting performance, and a lower total cost of ownership. This range also features a new automatic parking brake and new automatic transmission with a reconfigured engine compartment.

 Steve Kiskunas, US Telehandler Product Line Manager, explains: “We have done a great deal of work on the comfort and performance of this new range. The new piston pump and flow sharing system improves smoothness and accuracy, and the combined hydraulic movements provide greater efficiency for increased productivity. The new transmission’s automatic mode offers greater flexibility and optimum torque with less operator fatigue, with the option to switch to standard powershift transmission at any time. We have also worked on reducing TCO with more robust components for better residual value. Design innovations have also been introduced, including easier access to the engine, reducing preventive maintenance costs by 8.7% compared to the previous range."
